I think, we are taking the sense of word 'maturity' in a wrong way. Someone who doesn't panic, doesn't get excited at every little thing, don't joke around in serious situation, can handle pressure, etc. are some of our assumed qualities of mature behavior. On the other hand, opposite behavior is considered childish or immature. However, in modern world the qualities that we consider as mature are mostly because of stress and problems going on in one's life. Whereas, people with kiddish behavior feel to be happier than the so called 'Mature' ones.
So you want to be mature or happy?
